Here is what I created with this Beautiful Collection:

Other products: gesso, seam binding, edge punch, pearl bling, crystal sprays, distress ink (Black Soot), hot glue, Scor Tape
Instructions: Using your Scor Pal and bone folder, score at 2", 4", 6", 8", and 10" on your 12 x 12 sheet paper from the Burst Of Splendor Collection. Next, we are going to cut the extra piece right where the 10" score line is, you can cut it right on the score board with a blade or on your favorite paper trimmer. Reverse paper and score at 2", 4", 8", and 10". Use your bone folder to fold all the scor lines. Now here is where it gets a little tricky for me to explain, but let's give it a go. Using your scissors cut a triangle shape, on the middle square (between the 2" and 4" score lines), you can use the first tringle as a template, fold the paper on the score line and use your template to cut all the pyramids the same size when you unfold you should see a pyramid first and a diamond, continue to fold and cut till you have both sides done, making sure to leave enought space between the pyramids so that the papercan hold together and not tear. To put together, use scor tape on one of the flaps and over lap the other flap on the other end. But before you do that, if you want you can use any decorative punch to make the ends of your candy box more fancy. Take your bone folder and score right in the center of your pyramids to meet and that will make it easier to tie down with any trim, ribbon, or seam binding, and that will keep your treats from falling out.

To make the flowers I used the Sun Kissed Fleur Die and ran it through my Big Shot a couple of times, depending on how full you want your flowers to be. If you want a more simple flower, use less petals if you would like a more full flower use more petals. The great thing is that with this die you cut several petals at a time. I used my blossom tools to shape my flowers, cut out and stamp the leaves using the classic leaf precut set and the open leaf precut set, use the classic leaf die to cut them out and the cordinating stamp to give it a more detailed and natural look, I also used a tag from the decorative flower pot die to write my sentiment, and there you have it... a BEAUTIFUL TREAT BOX!! Thank you for joining me and I do hope you have enjoyed this tutorial!

I mounted my Picture on foam board to add dimension and added a frame and adhered it to were I wanted to be in the layout, add the window shutters and now you can add the sentiments you cut out by adhering them down with glossy accents or any other liquid adhesive you like, once dry dab gesso with sponge to kinda blend everything together and outline them with a pencil. I used scraps to make the left side of the layout, just cut them to 8" Long and the with depends on how much space you want to cover, fold them in half but do not crease the right side just fold enought to glue the two left sides together, make three and add hot glue just on the edge of the fold and adhere it to the wood making sure the corners meet, for the second one do not over lap but tuck it underneath the first and do the same for the third on on on. For the flowers, I fussy cut some of the Beautiful flower images from the Paper collection and adhered then unto the layout. I cut one paper doily in half and tucked one half under the last paper Valley (that is what i actually call them LOL) they add such a delicate feel to the layout. To make the Vellum Flower I used the HCD 734 Sun Kissed Fleur Die to cut out the flower petals and the HCPC 3323 Large Elegant Word Background PreCut Set stamp to add the feel of a vintage flower, you can stamp the background stamp any color and cut theflowers with the die, shape them and add a beautiful center and there it is, adhere the flower to the layout dag gesso for the last time to blend everything together and you have a BEAUTIFUL layout with tons of wonderful sentiments. StazOn (Jet black),Glossy Accents, Gesso, Glimmer Mist (patina and jack frost) sponge, and haeting tool.

INSTRUCTIONS:
I used a 7 1/2 by 3 1/2 chipboard base to make my tag, using glossy accents I adhere paper on both sides from the Beautiful Daphne Paper Collection and set it aside with three heavy books on top so as it dries the chipboard will dry nice and flat for me. I used a sponge to gently dab gesso to the front side of the tag as I love the texture gesso gives to the surface and also to prepare it for the glimmermist. When the Gesso is  dry I used the Timeless Amour Background stamp and StazOn jet black ink to make my background and started playing with the glimmer mists, I prayed the patina color first and used my heat tool to dry the tag and than I used the jack frost mist and dried it with heat tool, you can go back and add more if you please but for me that was perfect. I used the winter season precut set stamps and the stazon jet black ink to stamp it on my tag and when back to add gesso with a sponge. Use the Ornate Gateway die and when cut out dab gesso with a sponce to the front and back of gates and adhere them to the sides of the tag, I added the top part of the gates to the top of the tag and make a bow with seam bindding and a pearl to the center of the bow, and using "Winter Wonderland" stamp from the Winter season precut set collection , stamp the centiment above the gates. Project Instructions:
Other Products: Seam Binding, glitter, trim, liquid glue, large paper sacks, and foam board.
Instructions: Fold the large sack bag in half the bottom part of the bag being in the inside and adhere the sides down to create a pocket but make sure you adhere the sides after you line the inside with paper. I fussy cut the bird image along with some of the beautiful flowers and stems and adhere glitter to the flowers using liquid glue and fine glitter. I used three layers of paper at the front of the card, white cardstock, paper from the collection and another piece from the collection, distress the edges and on the last layer curl one corner with a thin paint brush and adhere a piece of trim behind that corner. I used trim to behind the bird and flower images, and I used small squares of foam board that I cut myself and added them to the back of each image to add dimension. Cut a sentiment from the paper collection, distress the edges and adhere to the fron of the card. I punched holes to the side of the card and used seam binding to make a bow, for the inside of the card I did not embellish it because the paper is so BEAUTIFUL!! For the opening of the bag I lined it with the gorgeous paper and I thought it would be perfect for a tag or a small gift card. I LOVE the way this card turned out and I do hope you enjoed the tutorial. Thank you for stopping by!

SHABBY CHIC FABRIC JOURNAL

I Love to alter Journals and they make great gifts for Family and Friends, my little sister and nieces as well as my daughter Love to play with them, and it is so much fun to see them as they write and stick little notes of wonderful memories. Saba has the most Unique and Wonderful trims, not to mention the prices for them are just as great :) I want to share with you all some pictures of the journal and talk to you a little bit of how I altered the journal, Hope you enjoy it :)

A Small Gift To A Great Friend

I have been wanting to alter one of this drawers for a little while and yesterday I went to see what I could find at Hobby Lobby, I saw this wooden drawer and decided to go for it ! I thought it would be a great gift for a such sweet friend of mine :)

Here is one of the sides of the drawer,I painted the edges of the drawer with white gesso since I knew that the paper was going to cover most of the wood. The paper collection I used is the Lyric Collection from Prima, it is such a BEAUTIFUL paper collection and I had so much fun playing with it. I used modge podge to adhere the paper and for texture
used snow tex, I also distressed the edges with my prima tool to add more texture to the edges, with a sponge I dabbed gesso to the edges and some of the areas in the corners and just ramdom places, I also fussy cute some of the images from the paper collection and adhere them to the box,I think gesso gives a very Shabby Chic effect to this project :) in my Humble opinion.

For the top of the drawer I had this teacup set that I found at my local thrift store and with a sponge I dabbed gesso a couple of times and heat dried it to speed up the process while it was not completely dry I used my fingers to dab some snow tex in ramdom places and heat set it. I adhered the cup  to the plate with E6000 and hot glue, the hot glue will keep it in place while the E6000 dries. I added spanish moss and flowers to embellish the top as well as some items I fussy cut from the paper collection.

Here is how the other side of the drawer looks, I used pink satin ribbon  and threaded it to the side of the box and I have seen some talented do this and I just love the look it gives to the box, so thank you so much to all the wonderful Ladies like MsLiberty25 among many who inspire me! I also added some trim from my stash to soften and add a wonderful Shabby Chic feel to it .I love using spanish moss and I thought it would be perfect for this side of the drawer along with the Beautiful bird cage, in the inside of the cage I cut an image from the paper collection and adhered it to the cage with modge podge, It looks wonderful!! I do hope you guys have enjoyed this project, I had so much fun working on it and I know my friends will love it :)

I decided to create a layout and alter a cigar box for my entries, I do hope you enjoy them and vote for me :) Thank you all so much for all your support and love!

Layout
To Create this Layout I used the Vintage Floret  Paper Collection from Heart felt Creations , and it is so Beautiful and Shabby Chic. The Beautiful Picture was included on the kit  and it is so Beautiful that I just had to create a layout with it. I made the flowers using the the Posy Patch Flowers Stamps and the cordinating Posy Patch Heartfelt Creations Spellbinders, they are so beautiful and they are one of the flowers I learned to make on More Paper Than Shoes Class, the spellbinders and stamps just make them very easy for me to make and ave me alot of time cutting. The Photo Corner is one of many Beautiful Heart Felt Creations spellbinders, so elegant and beautiful! The sentiment is from the paper Collection and it has many other beautiful sentiments. I love How this layout Turned out!! it is so Beautiful!!!

Cigar Box Top and Side View
I used and old picture frame I had in my stash to create a shadow box for the top and adhered it with E600 and hot glue.
Do you see the Cheese cloth peaking out?

The Front view
I used seam binding to make a double bow and a ribbon buckle with a flat back pearl adhered with hot glue .
The Paper Collection ( Vintage Floret Collection) is so Beautiful and it was perfect for the shabby chic look I was going for this box. I adhere the paper inside and out of the box with modge podge and dabbed gesso on the edges.

TOP VIEW

For the Inside of the little shadow box I fussy cut some of the Beautiful Images from the paper collection and mounted them on foam board for dimention. The sentiment is from the paper collection as well and I distressed the edges and dabbed gesso with a sponge. I added cheese cloth to the background and Spanish moss and dabbed gesso as well. I FEEL LIKE A LITTLE BIRD WITH A BIG SONG

I wanted to alter something to add to my spring decor for my home and I found a small picture frame that I had purchased from Michael's a while back from the dollar bin, I thought it would be perfect! I made the box out of foam board and used liquid adhesive to put it together and pins to make it more sturdy. Once the glue was dry I added paper from the pink paislee, london market collection with modge podge. I also used gesso and vintage white acrylic paint to distress the box.I love the way it turned out!

I added flowers from a spray that I had found at Hobby Lobby on the left corner and on the bottom right I added a gardenia from I AM ROSES with some little eggs and a porcelain rose. On of the flower I fussy cut a sentiment from the Follow Your Heart, My Mind's Eye paper collection.

I used E6000 and hot glue to adhere the frame, I used the hot glue so that  I can still work on it while the E6000 dries.Using my finguer I dabbed some gesso mixed with a baby blue acrylc pain. I dyed  seam binding using tatter angels spray and wrinkled it while using my heat gun to dry, made a double bow and used a piece of trim and bling from Suhafuha's Etsy Store (the link to her store will be provided for you below) Than all I did was to adhere the blue robbing to the top of the box and dab white gesso on him, and  glue the box to a glass candle holder with E6000 and there you have it!!

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial :)

I have been wanting to alter a clock for a while and one day I went to target and saw this clock on clearense for $3.88! I was so excited and took it straigh home to alter it. I took it apart and sand the outer part od the clock and gave it 3 couts os gesso allowing it to dry in between, so that the acrylic paint it would have something to grab on to. I gathered all my embellishment and whent to town, it was so much fun altering this clock and it sits beautifully in my computer desk, I love it! I hope you can try and alter your own for I know you will love it! Her are some pictures of mine, enjoy :)

I used  the Prima "lyric" collection for the lining and fussy cutted the banner and the clock for the  collection as well.  I also used paper flowers to embellish the clock's face and pearl stems, a metal bird., lace, baby's breath , doilie, and dabbed some vintage white acrylic paint with a make-up sponge in ramdom places.

Here is how the clock looks all together. I tied a double know bow with seam binding that I dies my self with my hand mede glimmer spray  and glued it on the top pf one of the clock bells. I also adhered some petaloo vine all around the clock.

I love how it turned out! and I am sure that if I find another clock I will alter it for sure :)  Hope you have enjoyed the pics and give it a try for your self. and if you do please share it with me for I would love to see it :)
